What does a successful Dynatrace Monitoring Expert do?

  • Creates and manages monitoring solutions using Dynatrace to ensure optimal performance and availability of enterprise applications.
  • Sets up infrastructure modes and maintenance modes to facilitate seamless operations and minimize downtime.
  • Configures alerting mechanisms to promptly identify and address issues flagged by Dynatrace.
  • Implements auto-healing solutions to automatically resolve detected issues and maintain system stability.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate Dynatrace monitoring with other IT systems and processes.
  • Monitors and reports on performance metrics and KPIs, driving continuous improvement in monitoring practices.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on Dynatrace, providing guidance and training to team members.

What you will do:

  • Design and deploy monitoring solutions using Dynatrace to ensure comprehensive visibility into system performance.
  • Set up and manage infrastructure and maintenance modes to support operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Configure and optimize alerting mechanisms to ensure timely detection and resolution of issues.
  • Develop and implement auto-healing strategies to automate issue resolution and enhance system resilience.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Dynatrace monitoring with other tools and processes.
  • Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to team members on Dynatrace best practices and usage.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience working in an enterprise environment, with a strong focus on monitoring and performance management.
  • Proven experience with Dynatrace and other monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure management and maintenance modes.
  • Expertise in configuring alerting mechanisms and auto-healing solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

What would be great to have: (Optional)

  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with AI and ML applications within monitoring and performance management.
  • Scripting skills in Python or other languages to automate monitoring tasks.
  • Experience with other monitoring tools such as Splunk for analyzing impacts on service performance.
