Lawctopus was also shortlisted for the prestigious Agami Prize and has recently been selected for the 10-month long Stanford Seed Program which supports growth of organisations from South Asia doing revenues of USD 300,000-15 million.

We are now hiring a Content Head to lead and scale content across Lawctopus and Lawctopus Law School (LLS).

This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping the editorial voice, ensuring quality, driving SEO growth, and managing a cross-functional content team.

Eligibility

We are seeking a high-quality legal content professional who possesses strategic thinking, strong editorial judgment, and leadership experience.

Mandatory Requirements

• 7+ years of work experience
• Experience with a major legal content/media platform preferred (SCC Online, EBC, LexisNexis, LiveLaw, Bar & Bench, etc.)
• Experience working in a portal/publication with 5 lakh+ monthly unique visitors
• 2+ years of experience in litigation or working with a law firm/company/in-house team
• 2+ years of editing experience (editor, senior editor, or equivalent role)
• Proven team management experience, writers, editors, freelancers, content managers
• Excellent writing, editing, and SEO skills
• Experience handling large-scale content operations, calendars, processes, and workflows

Good to Have

• Record of journal publications, paper presentations, or editorial roles in college
• Strong moot court or debating achievements
• Experience with content strategy, keyword planning, and SEO-led growth
• Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush)
• Familiarity with MarTech and Social Media tools

Responsibilities1. Content Strategy & Leadership

• Set and evolve the editorial vision for Lawctopus and LLS
• Build content strategies aligned with traffic, brand, and revenue goals
• Ensure content quality, accuracy, and consistency across platforms
• Oversee growth of social media platforms

2. Editorial Oversight

• Oversee news stories, explainers, opportunities, interviews, opinion pieces, research-based articles
• Ensure error-free, legally accurate, and highly readable content
• Establish and maintain style guides, editorial SOPs, and quality checks

3. SEO, Growth & Analytics

• Plan SEO-focused content calendars
• Lead keyword research, on-page optimization, content updates, and performance audits
• Use data and analytics to refine strategy and boost traffic

4. Team & Workflow Management

• Manage a team of writers, editors, interns, and freelancers
• Review drafts, train team members, and upgrade their writing/editing skills
• Create and enforce content production pipelines

5. Cross-Platform Leadership

• Work closely with the Lawctopus Law School team for course-related content
• Support marketing, partnerships, and product teams with content inputs
• Shape messaging for new verticals, categories, and large initiatives

Salary

₹70,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month, depending on experience and leadership capabilities.
