Role & responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounts payable process and ensure timely payments.

  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies.

  • Supervise and train accounts payable staff.

  • Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable data for accuracy.

  • Prepare and present accounts payable reports to management.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline payment processes.

  • Handle escalated issues related to accounts payable.

  • Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) with years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP and MS Excel.
  • Good understanding of vendor management, reconciliations, and statutory compliances.
  • Proven ability to oversee end-to-end accounts payable process with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Experience in preparing reports, audits, and handling escalations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to coordinate across departments.
  • Team-handling experience will be an added advantage.
