Overview The Oracle EBS - SCM (Supply Chain Management) Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing and maintaining the organization's supply chain processes using Oracle E-Business Suite applications. This position is pivotal as it directly impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of inventory management, procurement, and logistics operations. The Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices in the SCM module. With the growing complexity of supply chains, this role ensures that the organization can leverage Oracle EBS to meet its operational goals, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of technical expertise and practical experience in Oracle applications, ensuring that the SCM module is tailored to fit the organizational needs. The role also involves aligning technology solutions with business strategies, providing valuable insights that aid in decision-making and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and customize Oracle EBS SCM module to meet business requirements.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for developers.
  • Develop and document test plans, scenarios, and scripts for SCM module testing.
  • Conduct user training and create user manuals for the SCM processes.
  • Support data migration activities from legacy systems to Oracle EBS SCM.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for SCM-related issues.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate SCM with other Oracle modules and third-party applications.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to track supply chain metrics.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SCM best practices and Oracle EBS updates.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment of SCM processes with organizational goals.
  • Execute change management processes for system upgrades and new releases.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with users to gather feedback and requirements.
  • Document all processes, configurations, and changes for compliance and auditing purposes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS SCM modules.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Experience in system configuration, customization, and implementation.
  • Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in user training and documentation creation.
  • Familiarity with interface and integration between Oracle EBS and other applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies in SCM.
  • Oracle certifications related to EBS SCM are a plus.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
  • Experience in Agile or similar project management frameworks.
