Network Engineer Internship – Job Description

Position: Network Engineer Intern

Location: Onsite

Duration: 3 Months

Type: Internship -Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer Intern to join our IT team. This internship offers hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems while learning from experienced professionals. If you're passionate about networking, eager to learn, and excited to solve real-world challenges, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
  • Support monitoring of network performance and security.
  • Help troubleshoot connectivity issues and escalate as needed.
  • Document network changes, configurations, and incidents.
  • Learn and apply best practices in LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
  • Collaborate with IT and support teams on ongoing projects.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with Cisco/Juniper/MikroTik devices (a plus, not mandatory).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
