Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Training & Skill Development

  • Conduct onboarding and skill-based training for new baristas on espresso extraction, milk steaming, beverage prep, and presentation
  • Develop and deliver training modules for different proficiency levels beginner to advanced
  • Train teams on Dlifrance's signature beverages, brewing techniques, and presentation standards

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

  • Implement and reinforce SOPs for all hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee, teas, and bubble teas
  • Ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, hygiene, and service etiquette
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure outlets are maintaining beverage consistency

Coffee Quality & Calibration

  • Perform daily/weekly calibration of coffee machines and grinders across outlets to maintain flavor profiles
  • Monitor quality through tasting sessions, guest feedback, and internal reviews
  • Troubleshoot equipment or extraction issues and escalate to service support when needed
  • Product Knowledge & Guest InteractionTrain staff on origin stories, flavor notes, and brewing methods to enhance guest engagement
  • Promote upselling and cross-selling techniques through barista conversations
  • Drive product awareness for seasonal launches and beverage innovations

Performance Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Observe barista performance during live service to provide feedback and identify gaps
  • Conduct refresher sessions or retraining where required
  • Maintain training logs, feedback forms, and skill assessment records

Support for New Store Openings

  • Train new teams during store pre-launch period, assist with bar setup, workflow planning, and service simulations
  • Ensure equipment calibration, menu briefing, and SOP training before go-live

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a specialty coffee or caf environment, with at least 12 years in a training or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of coffee theory, espresso equipment, and manual brewing methods
  • Experience in F&B or retail chains preferred
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Barista certification (SCA or equivalent) is a plus
