Role Overview

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for construction safety equipment. This includes vendor and OEM development, price negotiations, purchase planning, and ensuring timely availability of materials. The role requires strong negotiation skills, market awareness, and may involve travel to vendor and manufacturer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and OEMs
  • Identify and onboard new vendors to improve cost, quality, and supply reliability
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with vendors and OEMs
  • Manage purchase planning and execution based on demand forecasts and inventory levels
  • Ensure timely procurement and availability of construction safety equipment and PPE
  • Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and supplier performance
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams for smooth supply chain operations
  • Maintain accurate purchase records and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Travel to vendor, OEM, or factory locations as required for negotiations and relationship management

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate in any field and proficient in Hindi and English
  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in construction, safety equipment, or industrial products
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems
  • Willingness to travel as required
