About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on
Technical Lead
to drive the modernization of two core enterprise systems — an ERP and a KYC onboarding platform — as we transition them toward a scalable, secure, and multi-tenant SaaS model.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth in
Python/Django and cloud-native architectures
with practical experience in
refactoring monolithic systems
, enabling multi-tenancy, and improving performance and DevOps maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Modernization & Architecture

• Lead refactoring of existing Django-based applications toward modular, scalable architectures.
• Redesign backend systems for
  multi-tenancy
  ,
  data isolation
  , and
  SaaS-readiness
  .
• Migrate from legacy stack versions to modern supported frameworks (e.g., Django 5.x, Python 3.12).
• Introduce service boundaries, API standardization, and async/background tasking models.

2. Hands-on Development

• Write and review production-grade Python/Django code.
• Implement RESTful APIs, authentication, and integration with 3rd party services (e.g., e-sign, KYC).
• Optimize database design and query performance in PostgreSQL.
• Introduce and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, regression).

3. DevOps & Cloud Enablement

• Containerize applications (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Implement observability tools (metrics, logs, tracing) and automated monitoring.

4. Security & Compliance

• Implement secure secret management, data encryption, and access controls.
• Establish audit trails and compliance-ready logging practices (SOC2/ISO standards).

5. Technical Leadership

• Mentor engineers and collaborate with project managers and architects.
• Conduct design reviews, code audits, and ensure quality gates.
• Translate modernization strategy into actionable sprints and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a
  lead engineer or technical lead
  role.
• Expert in
