Overview: The Solutions Architect for Application Modernization plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and overseeing application modernization solutions within our organization. This role is pivotal in aligning technology strategies with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration between legacy systems and modern applications, and driving innovation to meet evolving customer needs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define application modernization goals and strategies
  • Assess existing applications and systems to identify modernization opportunities
  • Design and develop scalable, resilient, and secure application modernization solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and thought leadership on application modernization best practices
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation of modernized applications
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and frameworks for modernization projects
  • Lead the integration of modernized applications with cloud computing platforms
  • Define and enforce architectural standards and best practices for application modernization
  • Identify and address technical challenges and risks in the modernization process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall IT and business strategies
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security requirements
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the application modernization lifecycle
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of application modernization initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in application modernization processes
  • Mentor and coach junior team members in application modernization best practices
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role
  • Demonstrated expertise in application modernization strategies and techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns and enterprise architecture principles
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages and application development frameworks
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing modernized applications
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and identify modernization opportunities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and compliance requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering successful application modernization projects
  • Certifications in cloud computing, enterprise architecture, or related fields (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF) is a plus
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
