We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to manage our day-to-day accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, and support financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in GST, TDS, ITR filing, and overall tax compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of Indian accounting and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Financial Reporting:

  • Handle day-to-day accounting entries and ensure accurate ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and reconciliation of accounts.

GST (Goods and Services Tax):

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and other applicable returns.
  • Reconcile GST input credit and output liability monthly.
  • Address GST notices, assessments, and coordination with consultants or the GST department.
  • Keep updated with latest changes in GST laws and implement accordingly.

TDS (Tax Deducted at Source):

  • Ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS as per applicable provisions.
  • File quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.).
  • Generate and issue Form 16 and Form 16A to employees and vendors.
  • Reconcile TDS with books and TRACES data.

ITR (Income Tax Return):

  • Assist in preparation and filing of income tax returns for the company and/or directors.
  • Reconcile Form 26AS, TDS, advance tax, and self-assessment tax.
  • Support tax audits, assessments, and respond to income tax notices.

Compliance & Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and legal regulations.
  • Support internal, statutory, and tax audits.
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audit readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • CA Inter / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws – GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
  • Proficient in Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GST portal, TRACES, and Income Tax portal.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of transactions and multiple deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • High attention to detail and integrity.
