Role:

Develops complex applications and systems in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) to provide the required functionality for all IT services, including configuration and adjustment of standard software. Provides application maintenance and support services to users or to service delivery functions, and contributes to the operations of a dedicated application or application class.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and test complex BPM workflows in IBM BAW.
  • Implement and execute module/component tests and provide technical documentation.
  • Execute technical application support and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the deployment of IBM BAW workflows into the production environment.
  • Provide updates, enhancements, and reusable components for other developers.

Key Competencies & Skills Required

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) design and development.
  • Business Process Development (BPM) & workflow orchestration.
  • Java Services and integration development.
  • API Design and Implementation (REST / SOAP).
  • JDBC Adapter or equivalent database connectivity configuration.
  • Rules Engine implementation.
  • BPMN 2.0 standards and modeling best practices.

Nice to Have:

  • IBM Certified BPM Developer (BAW).
  • IBM BAW Administration & Deployment.
  • IBM Process Portal and Process Designer experience.
  • WebMethods BPMS (v10.15) exposure (optional).
  • JIRA, GIT, Postman, Azure DevOps.
  • SQL Server Management Studio or equivalent RDBMS tools.
  • Experience with Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) and User Tasks API.

Previous Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Educational Qualification:

  • A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification in a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.

Years Experience & Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of development background in design, analysis, coding, and bug fixing.
  • Strong IT technical background and client-server programming experience.
  • Experience in process know-how in insurance or related industries.
  • Familiarity with Agile methods and practices.
