Overview

We are seeking a proactive
Cloud DevOps Intern

to join our fast-paced engineering team. This role offers hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services and modern DevOps tools.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on AWS CI/CD:

Work directly with our team to implement and manage automated deployment workflows on AWS using services like
CodePipeline

,
CodeBuild

, and
CodeDeploy

.
- Monorepo Workflow:

Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline within a
monorepo environment

. This includes implementing and optimizing build processes that can handle a large, unified codebase and running targeted tests and deployments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Assist in provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as
AWS CloudFormation

or
Terraform

. You will gain experience in ensuring our environments are consistent, scalable, and reproducible.
- Deployment and Release Management:

Get practical experience with deployment strategies and release management, ensuring smooth and reliable application rollouts.
- Scripting and Automation:

Write scripts (in Python or Bash) to automate repetitive tasks, improve system efficiency, and enhance our deployment processes.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

Learn to monitor system performance and application health using
Amazon CloudWatch

and other logging tools. You will assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure and deployments.
- Collaboration

: Work closely with software developers to understand their needs and help them streamline their development and deployment workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A strong understanding of
    DevOps

principles and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with monorepos and the unique challenges and benefits they present.
- Experience with
Git

for version control.
- Basic knowledge of a scripting language like
Python

or
Bash

.
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker.
- Basic knowledge of
Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda.
