Job Description – Cloud DevOps Engineer (Cost Optimization)

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5+ years

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in cloud cost optimization and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud environments while driving efficiency in resource utilization and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs by analyzing usage patterns and implementing cost-saving strategies.
  • Develop automation scripts (Python, Shell, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, etc.) for infrastructure provisioning and scaling.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of applications and infrastructure.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and finance teams to ensure cost-efficient cloud adoption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, performance, and deployment issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud services and DevOps practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong cloud infrastructure background (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Proven expertise in cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/AKS/GKE).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
  • Good understanding of networking, security groups, IAM policies, and compliance standards.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes cost monitoring tools (Kubecost, CloudHealth, etc.).
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and cost optimization in hybrid environments.
