Job Description: Construction Site Foreman/Supervisor

A Construction Site Foreman or Supervisor is a key leadership role on a construction project. They are the frontline manager responsible for the day-to-day operations on-site, acting as the crucial link between the workers and the project management team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. On-Site Leadership and Supervision:

  • Directly oversee and manage the work of on-site crews, subcontractors, and laborers.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and timelines and execute them for meeting the progress.
  • Ensuring all workmanship meets the required standards and specifications for maintaining quality of work.

2. Project Execution and Coordination:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure work is aligned with project requirements.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate daily logs and reports detailing work accomplished, personnel on-site, hours worked, and material usage.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager or Superintendent.

4. Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Significant hands-on experience with minimum 5 years in the construction industry specifically in Infrastructure projects like roads, Railways, Bridges etc with a proven track record in supervisory role
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is essential.
