Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Senior Manager Operations with 15 years of proven experience in managing manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end , production efficiency, operational excellence, and continuous supply chain efficiency and improvement initiatives to ensure optimal productivity, quality compliance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations across multiple departments, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet output targets, delivery timelines, and quality standards.

  • Oversee plant budgeting, cost control, and resource management to maximize operational efficiency.

  • Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes and reduce downtime.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and implement best practices for workplace safety.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, supply chain, quality control, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely procurement of raw materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Monitor KPIs, analyze production reports, and implement corrective actions for any variances in performance.

  • Mentor and develop team leaders and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.

  • Lead strategic initiatives for automation, technology adoption, and capacity expansion.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical/industrial engineering/electrical or related discipline; masters preferred.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role.

  • In-depth knowledge of production systems, plant management, and operational excellence practices and Supply chain.

  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred).

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost reduction, and ROI-driven decision-making.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven track record in handling large-scale manufacturing units or multi-site operations.

Skills Required

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in SAP and manufacturing software.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with strict deadlines.
  • Adaptability to dynamic market and operational challenges.

Work Environment

  • Plant-based role requiring frequent on-floor presence.
  • Will involve collaboration with corporate leadership and periodic travel for supplier evaluations and customer Interactions
