Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical engineering activities across all project phases (bidding, design, execution, and site support).
  • Review and approve key electrical drawings, specifications, data sheets, and single-line diagrams.
  • Oversee preparation and validation of electrical load lists, motor lists, and sizing of transformers, generators, switchgear, capacitor banks, UPS, and battery chargers.
  • Conduct lighting, earthing, and lightning protection calculations.
  • Perform advanced system studies including:
  • Short Circuit Analysis
  • Load Flow Analysis
  • Motor Starting Study
  • Relay Coordination
  • Arc Flash and Harmonics Study
  • ECS and Load Shedding System Design
  • Supervise preparation of electrical control schematics and interconnection diagrams.
  • Guide layout engineering including:
  • Lighting, Earthing, Cable Tray, Power, Fire Alarm, CCTV, PA System, and Communication System Layouts.
  • Lead preparation of Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, and Vendor Document Reviews.
  • Ensure accuracy in MTO preparation and checking.
  • Support site activities including short-term field engineering assignments.
  • Provide technical leadership in bidding and execution phases of EPC projects.

Required Skills & Tools:

  • Proficiency in ETAP, AutoCAD, MS Word/Excel, DIALux
  • Strong knowledge of IS/IEC, IEEE, and other international standards
  • Experience with Navisworks for 3D model review
  • Familiarity with SPEL(SmartPlant Electrical) is an added advantage
