JOB TITLE & Nos : EHS Officer
DEPARTMENT : Environment, Health & Safety
LOCATION : Hindupur
REPORTS TO : Unit Heads
JOB PURPOSE : Handling the Environment, Health & Safety of all Units
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan-Promote a Zero Injury Safety Culture: Provide leadership and coaching to grow the site leadership team, plant operations, plant safety committee, and EHS direct reports, to create a workplace free of recognized hazards, promote safe work behaviors, and foster a lean safety culture that keeps the safety of employees a business value.
- Compliance reporting for all environmental, health, and safety activities as per State, and local EHS requirements.
- Proactively Perform EHS audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs for managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure a common and effective approach.
- Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property are in compliance with local policies and safety requirements.
- Ensure timely investigation of environmental, health, and safety incidents, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective action plans.
- Evaluate hazards for safety, health, and environmental risks and ensure the development of Job Hazard Analyses for defined tasks.
- Conduct or direct testing of air quality, noise, temperature, or radiation levels to verify compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Establish goals, objectives, metrics, and scorecards to assure the EHS function is effective.
- Develop and deploy HSE programs and training to meet regulatory requirements and operational needs.
- Experience in Process Safety Management System for a Chemical Process Industry. Must have experience in Hazardous Material Handling, Solvent and Monomer Handling cum Storage Safety, Static Fire Protection, Transportation Safety, knowledge of TREM Card System etc
- Knowledge and exposure on Environment Management System / ISO 14001 and OSHAS/ ISO Certified Internal Auditor would have an additional advantage.
- Experience and knowledge for obtaining fire NOC, Fire License, Traffic NOC etc is preferred.
- Knowledge and exposure on Environment Management System / ISO 14001 and OSHAS/ ISO Certified Internal Auditor would have an additional advantage.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety management or environmental management, or related field; advanced degree preferred; 10+ years progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
Energetic leader with proven ability to lead change initiatives; demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals of all disciplines and levels within and across the organization.
Excellent communication skills; written, oral, and interpersonal. team builder with action orientation and the ability to influence staff across the organization.
Knowledge of SAP and MS Office is essential.

COMMENTS: Domestic travel may be required.
