About The Opportunity
Opportunity in the Information Technology & IT Services sector, focused on enterprise business intelligence and analytics for mid‑to‑large clients across finance, retail, and manufacturing. The role is hands‑on technical delivery of Microsoft BI solutions—designing OLAP models, building ETL, and shipping operational reports that drive data‑led decisions.

Primary job title: Microsoft BI (MSBI) Developer

Location: India — On‑site

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain SSAS solutions (tabular and/or multidimensional models), including cube design, partitions and aggregations to support analytics requirements.
  • Build and optimize SSIS packages for robust ETL workflows—data ingestion, transformation, error handling and incremental loads from multiple sources.
  • Develop, deploy and enhance SSRS reports/dashboards, ensuring performance, security and usability for business stakeholders.
  • Author and optimize T‑SQL, MDX and DAX queries for report datasets and ad‑hoc analysis; troubleshoot query performance and indexing issues.
  • Collaborate with BI Analysts, Data Engineers and business users to translate requirements into scalable data models, ETL designs and delivery timelines.
  • Implement best practices for version control, deployment, documentation and monitoring of MSBI solutions; support production incidents and performance tuning.

Skills & Qualifications
Must‑Have

  • 3+ years hands‑on experience with Microsoft BI stack: SSAS, SSIS and SSRS in production environments.
  • Strong T‑SQL skills plus experience optimizing queries, indexes and execution plans for large datasets.
  • Practical experience with SSAS modeling (tabular and/or multidimensional), MDX and/or DAX for analytical calculations.
  • Proven SSIS ETL development skills: package design, error handling, incremental loads and scheduling (SQL Agent / SSIS Catalog).
  • Good understanding of dimensional modelling (star/snowflake), data warehousing principles and OLAP concepts.

Preferred

  • Experience with performance tuning of SSAS cubes, SSIS packages and SSRS reports in high‑volume environments.
  • Familiarity with source systems (ERP/CRM), Azure SQL or cloud BI services, and basic scripting (PowerShell).
  • Exposure to Power BI integration, CI/CD for BI deployments and monitoring/automation tools.
