Job Description for Internship Program

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical
Trainee
to join our Investment and Client Operations team. This is an entry-level position for a recent graduate or early-career professional passionate about the financial markets and eager to learn the operational, analytical, and client-servicing aspects of various investment vehicles. This role focuses on supporting the daily operations, data management, and reporting for multiple funds, including
Mutual Funds (MF), Specialized Investment Funds (SIF), Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIF), and GIFT City-based operations
. The role also includes assisting Relationship Managers (RMs) in serving clients and working on their portfolios.

This is a
paid internship

Key Responsibilities

• Client Servicing Support:
  Assist Relationship Managers in their day-to-day activities, including preparing for client meetings, following up on client requests, and ensuring a seamless client experience. Work with RMs to gather client financial data, analyse their needs.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
  Collect, analyse, and report on fund performance, market trends, and client activities. This includes preparing presentations and maintaining
  Management Information Systems (MIS)
  for clients.
• Operational & Compliance Support:
  Ensure that fund operations and client activities comply with all relevant regulations and internal policies. Assist with documentation for internal and external audits.
• Research:
  Conduct research on market trends, economic factors, and new investment strategies to provide data-driven insights to both the investment team and RMs.

Other Responsibilities

• Reading:
  Read a minimum of two books per month from a curated list of titles to enhance your financial and personal development. The list includes books such as The Power of the Subconscious Mind, Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Compound Effect, The Psychology of Money, 80:20 Money Makeover, and Let's Talk Money.
• Physical Wellness:
  Maintain a healthy lifestyle by walking 10,000 steps daily.
• Skill Enhancement:
  Complete a fast-reading course, dedicating one hour daily for one week.
• Professional Development:
  Participate in social activities, seminars, and webinars as instructed by senior team members.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background:
  A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field like Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative discipline.
• Technical Skills:
  Proficiency in common IT tools, especially
  MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  . Familiarity with data analysis and business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Analytical Abilities:
  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Communication:
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Soft Skills:
  A self-starter with good interpersonal skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a strong capacity for multitasking and self-organization.

Rules to be followed during the internship program:

1. Interns should wear formal attire only.
2. Timings decided at the time of interview should be strictly followed.
3. Interns should complete the checklist and log sheet before leaving the office.
4. The use of social media for personal entertainment during office hours is strictly prohibited.
5. Trading in the stock market during office hours is strictly prohibited.
6. No complaints regarding filling KYC Forms or any other operational work during the internship period will be entertained.
7. If instructed to visit AMC for any kind of operational work, interns should not refuse, as it is for understanding AMC work.
8. Attending AMC meetings is mandatory when instructed by senior authorities.
9. Any leaves taken during the internship program should be compensated for afterwards; otherwise, the certificate will only be provided for the days the trainee is present.
10. Interns should compensate for any time taken off early.
11. Intern should clear NISM VA exam within one month from joining.
