About the Role

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe-based applications while leveraging Python-based automation and Generative AI capabilities. This role demands strong mainframe expertise combined with emerging AI/ML proficiency to support modernization and automation initiatives within BTC-driven programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Mainframe, DB2, and JCL.
• Work extensively with IMS hierarchical databases and DB2 relational databases.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing mainframe applications.
• Optimize system performance and ensure high reliability of mainframe environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration, modernization, and enhancement projects.
• Prepare technical documentation adhering to project coding and compliance standards.
• Contribute to AI-led automation, productivity improvements, and innovation initiatives.

Technical Expertise Required

Mainframe Skills

• Hands-on experience with IMS and DB2 databases.
• Strong understanding of mainframe architecture, batch and online processing.
• Proficiency in JCL and associated utilities.
• Experience in mainframe debugging, RCA, and performance tuning.

Python & GenAI Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Python coding.
• Experience working with Generative AI models, including:
• LLMs
• Diffusion models
• Transformers
• Practical exposure to Agentic AI architectures and multi-agent systems.
• Experience with prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred (not mandatory).
• Relevant certifications in Mainframe technologies, Python, or AI/ML are an added advantage.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹180, ₹210,000.00 per month
