As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Market Making team, you will play a pivotal role in building and optimizing backend systems that power high-performance trading, pricing, and risk management platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative financial products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and reliable software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Market Making team to design and develop backend infrastructure for pricing and risk management of complex and emerging financial products.
  • Build and maintain fundamental models supporting multiple verticals within the trading organization.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including design, product management, traders, quantitative analysts, and trade operations—to deliver robust, data-driven solutions.
  • Tackle technical challenges involving distributed systems, large-scale data, and real-time computation.
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge trading and pricing products, including correlation exotics and volatility modeling.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence across teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in at least one low-level language (e.g., C++ or Java).
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems and scalable backend architectures.
  • Familiarity with derivative products and risk management frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, agile environment typical of early-stage product teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with exotic financial products or risk modeling.
  • Knowledge of numerical methods and optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with React or other UI frameworks.
  • Exposure to high-frequency or algorithmic trading systems.
