Summary of the RoleWe are looking for a highly experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with 8–12 years of expertise to join our growing team in Bengaluru. This role demands deep technical skills in cloud infrastructure design and automation, a strong DevOps mindset, and the ability to drive cost-efficient and scalable AWS solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Configure and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, MariaDB), VPC, IAM, ECS, EKS, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Route 53, and Cost Explorer.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Set up new environments based on landing zone requirements and best practices.
- Create and deploy Docker images using Docker Hub or custom AMIs.
- Automate deployment pipelines and manage CI/CD processes using tools like Bitbucket/GitHub, ServiceNow, and Jira.
- Monitor environments using New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS-native monitoring tools.
- Configure IAM roles, policies, security groups, and access controls ensuring compliance with cloud security best practices.
- Optimize cloud spend using tagging strategies, AWS Trusted Advisor, and Cost Explorer.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and connectivity issues, including RDS access and intranet communication.
- Maintain and patch systems, manage AMI updates, and schedule maintenance windows effectively.
- Document SOPs, knowledge bases, and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and communicate solutions clearly and proactively.
- 8–12 years of experience in AWS Cloud Engineering or similar roles.
- Deep hands-on expertise in core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, RDS, Route 53, Redshift, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Strong proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker and EKS/ECS.
- Solid knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, subnets, NAT/Internet Gateways, WAF, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of cloud cost optimization, security best practices, and DevOps workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
- AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, New Relic, Prometheus, or Splunk.
- Exposure to ITSM and agile processes (Jira, ServiceNow).
- Prior experience in documenting SOPs and working in regulated environments.
