Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Claims Processor to manage travel insurance claims end-to-end, including loss assessment and guiding claims to final settlement. This position supports UK operations from our Pune office and involves communicating with customers via email, reviewing documentation, and working within defined service timelines. Candidates should have strong communication skills, basic calculation ability, and a good understanding of insurance principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of travel insurance claims, from registration to final settlement.
- Assess the nature and extent of loss based on the provided documentation and policy terms.
- Communicate with policyholders via email to obtain necessary documents, clarifications, or updates.
- Take ownership of claims through to the settlement stage, ensuring accurate assessment of loss and calculation of payable amounts.
- Review claim documents to confirm policy coverage or request additional substantiation.
- Access third-party client systems to retrieve and verify claim data and transfer it to internal systems.
- Perform manual checks on policy details where automation isn't in place.
- Ensure claims are reviewed and processed within predefined service timelines (7/14/21/28 days).
- Support quality checks and audit readiness by maintaining detailed claim records.
- Participate in regular team training and apply learning to daily processing tasks.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
