Role Overview:

We are looking for a Manual Test Engineer to join our growing QA team. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about software quality, eager to learn, and looking to kick-start their career in software testing.

This is a Work from Office role offering international exposure, including opportunities for client visits across the Middle East and Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review software requirements and functional specifications to understand project scope.
  • Design and execute manual test cases for web applications, backend services, and mobile apps.
  • Perform smoke, sanity, functional, regression, and UI testing across web and mobile platforms.
  • Validate backend data by writing and executing basic SQL queries on MS SQL Server.
  • Test APIs and integrations between modules (Java/Spring Boot backend and React front-end).
  • Log defects in a clear, structured manner with proper steps, screenshots, and expected vs. actual results.
  • Support developers during debugging by retesting fixes and verifying defect resolutions.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility.
  • Participate in review sessions, stand-ups, and client demo preparations with the QA/Dev team.
  • Maintain proper documentation of test cases, test execution results, and defect logs.
  • Learn and support basic automation (Java & Selenium) under the guidance of senior QA engineers.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Ability to design and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL (preferably MS SQL Server) for data validation.
  • Familiarity with Java, Selenium, or any automation basics (a plus, not mandatory).
  • Exposure to web technologies (HTML, CSS, React basics) and mobile platforms (Android/iOS) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of API testing concepts (REST, JSON, Postman basics preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with developers and QA team.
  • Eagerness to learn new tools, frameworks, and testing methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
