Software Testing Team Lead

Role & responsibilities -

  • Lead and mentor a team of software test engineers
  • Allocate tasks, review test cases, and ensure timely delivery of quality releases
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Development, Product, and Support
  • Analyze Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and derive high-level and detailed test scenarios
  • Design and oversee the execution of comprehensive manual test cases
  • Perform and guide team in Black Box Testing using BVA & ECP techniques
  • Conduct Functionality, Compatibility, Regression, and Database Testing
  • Manage defect lifecycle using JIRA ensure accurate logging, tracking, and resolution
  • Apply and promote best practices from SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle
  • Utilize JMeter or Load Balancer tools for performance-related testing
  • Drive continuous process improvements within the QA function
  • Conduct code walkthroughs with QA and provide feedback
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding QA team members

Preferred candidate profile -

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in manual testing
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a team lead or senior QA role
  • Strong knowledge of HRMS domain (Preferred/Mandatory)
  • Proficient in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working in a product-based company is a plus
