Job Responsibilities: –
Below are some of the responsibilities a Social Media Manager is expected to assume in their position:

• Planning and developing social media campaigns

• Crafting compelling content or getting it developed

• manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram,
LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels and audiences

• Posting content across social media accounts

• Engaging with customers on different channels

• Analysing running campaigns

• Being on top of the latest social media trends

• Update social media content across all channels

• Use social media marketing tools

• Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics

• Establish relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong network

• Keep an eye on social media trends

• Communicate effectively to all stakeholders including senior management and content
developers


• Overall Project Management

• Team handling

Skills Required:
Below are the qualifications that are expected of a SocialMedia Manager:

• Minimum 5 years of experience

• Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and
expressions

• Knowledge of all SocialMedia Platforms especially Youtube.

• Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision

• Team handling

• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and
management

• Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously

• Strict adherence to the style guides of each company and their policies for publication

• Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary

• Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft
Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
This is a demanding position, and it is suitable for candidates who have the ability to learn quickly,
multitask and work under pressure.
