Job Description – Performance Architect
Educational Qualification

• BE / BTech in
  Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering
  or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline
• OR MCA / MTech / MSc in
  Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications Engineering
  from a recognized University/Institute
• Desirable
  : MBA as an additional qualification (preferred)
• Certifications
  : Not mandatory

Experience

• Total Experience
  : Minimum 12 years post basic qualification in the IT field
• Relevant Architecture Experience
  : Minimum 5 years (preferably in Banking / Financial Services sector)

Specific Skills Required

• Ability to define and document performance goals (KPIs/SLAs) and create frameworks for measurement and validation
• Expertise in building
  Full Stack applications
  with focus on
  performance and low latency
• Strong debugging and profiling skills for Web/Mobile applications using
  Chrome Dev Tools
  or native profilers
• Solid understanding of
  Networking fundamentals
  , OSI Stack, DNS, TCP protocols, browser rendering, and execution stages
• In-depth knowledge of
  Distributed Systems, Fault Tolerance, and Resiliency
• Familiarity with
  Domain Driven Design (DDD)
  ,
  SOLID principles
  , and
  data modeling
  across RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Experience with
  microservices, API servers, databases, cloud-native development, observability, alerting, and monitoring systems
• Strong problem-solving skills to address cross-application dependencies
• Excellent
  communication and presentation skills
• Preferably hands-on experience with
  Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools
  such as Mega Hopex, Avolution ABACUS, Planview, Orbus iServer, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Define and analyze the current state of enterprise architecture and performance metrics; design low-level configurations to optimize performance with minimal system impact
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams, vendors, and other architects to achieve enterprise performance goals and resolve anomalies
• Perform tuning of applications, databases, and server configurations to enhance system performance
• Oversee placement/migration of applications and infrastructure components to optimize performance without compromising security compliance
• Analyze monitoring/log data for
  infrastructure sizing and capacity planning
• Build frameworks and automation tools for measuring, validating, and improving system/application performance
• Participate in
  critical incident management
  and prepare
  Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  reports
• Optimize
  cloud-native deployments
  with a focus on
  cost efficiency
• Conduct
  architecture reviews
  to detect potential bottlenecks and provide proactive guidance
• Analyze and address bottlenecks identified by
  performance testing tools
• Evaluate system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations for
  scalability and stability
• Design, execute, and analyze
  performance tests
  to validate system reliability
• Collaborate with
  development and operations teams
  to integrate performance considerations into the
  SDLC
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Establish and maintain
  performance monitoring dashboards and alerts
• Document
  best practices, guidelines, and performance procedures
• Implement a
  continuous performance improvement program
  to ensure long-term reliability and growth
• Optimize performance across
  web applications (front-end & back-end), hardware, software systems, servers, networks, and operating systems
• Work on
  CPU performance optimization
  including modeling, micro-architecture studies, and subsystem specifications
