Role & responsibilities

Job Overview

The Performance Test Architect is responsible for leading the performance testing efforts for large-scale enterprise applications. They must have extensive experience in performance testing, including collecting and analyzing non-functional requirements, creating performance test strategies, defining workload models, and executing test scripts using open-source and commercial performance testing tools. The role also involves mentoring development teams, anticipating performance issues, and optimizing application performance.

Must Have Requirements

- At least 5 years of banking performance testing experience using JMeter - end to end

- Understanding of software engineering and testing methodologies in the context of large-scale enterprise systems

- Experience in testing and optimizing high volume web and batch-based transactional enterprise applications

- Experience in collecting and analyzing NFRs, creating performance test strategy, defining workload models

- Hands-on experience in creating and executing test scripts using open-source and commercial PT tools

- Proficiency in JMeter or Gatling, with experience in executing at least 2 large-scale engagements with open-source performance testing tools

- Experience in setting up and managing test environments on different platforms (Windows/Unix)

- Good knowledge of Java, .NET, SQL, and NoSQL performance tuning/optimization

- Strong programming experience in Java

- Experience in performing capacity planning and working with technical leadership to anticipate performance issues

- Good understanding of technical architectures and networking concepts

- Working experience on performance testing on cloud infrastructure

- Prior experience in the BFSI/NBFC industries
