Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HMI Development Engineer with hands-on experience in SCADE (Safety Critical Application Development Environment) and exposure to the development of Control Display Systems (CDS), Large Area Displays (LAD), and Multi-Function Displays (MFD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and coordinating with the design, development and validation Team that are working for high-integrity HMI software solutions for aerospace or defense applications, ensuring compliance with DO-178C and other safety-critical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate with the Design and develop safety-critical HMI applications using SCADE Suite / SCADE Display.

  • Collaborate with Software tool Provider and system engineers, UI/UX designers to define display behavior and interface requirements.

  • Implement display functionalities for CDS, LAD, MFD systems in accordance with ARINC standards (e.g., ARINC 661, ARINC 429, etc.).

  • Generate code from SCADE models and integrate it with the overall avionics software stack.

  • Perform requirements analysis, traceability, and impact analysis.

  • Develop verification plans and perform unit, integration, and system-level testing.

  • Ensure compliance with DO-178C guidelines and other relevant safety standards.

  • Participate in peer reviews, audits, and certification activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience.

  • Proficiency in SCADE Suite / SCADE Display or VAPS XTand model-based development.

  • Hands-on experience in developing CDS, LAD, or MFD applications.

  • Familiarity with ARINC 661, DO-178C, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and understanding of safety-critical software development lifecycle.

  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and requirement management tools (e.g., DOORS).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with OpenGL, Qt, or other graphical libraries.

  • Exposure to simulation and test environments such as Simulink, VectorCAST, or LDRA.

  • Knowledge of aircraft cockpit architecture and display systems.

  • Certification exposure (e.g., DAL-A/B certification projects).
