We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing in-depth financial analysis, preparing detailed expense reports, creating expense dashboards, and providing insightful expense analysis to support key business decisions. This position is crucial in ensuring that financial planning and expense tracking are aligned with organizational goals, and the data is presented in a clear, actionable format.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Analysis:

  2. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate the organization's financial performance.

  3. Analyze revenue, costs, and financial trends to support management in making informed decisions.

  4. Provide variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical data.

  5. Expense Analysis:

  6. Conduct deep dive analyses of departmental expenses, identifying key cost drivers and variances.

  7. Work closely with department heads to understand expenditure patterns and recommend cost optimization strategies.

  8. Evaluate and track discretionary versus non-discretionary costs and provide insights into potential savings areas.

  9. Expense Reporting:

  10. Prepare and manage regular and ad-hoc expense reports for senior leadership and business units.

  11. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of expense data submitted for reporting purposes.

  12. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that highlight key expense insights.

  13. Expense Dashboard Preparation:

  14. Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards that present key expense metrics in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand manner.

  15. Utilize data visualization tools to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders effectively.

  16. Continuously improve and enhance dashboards to reflect changing business needs and evolving data sources.

  17. Budgeting & Forecasting:

  18. Support the budgeting process by providing data-driven insights on expense trends and assumptions.

  19. Assist in financial forecasting to predict future expense fluctuations based on historical data and market conditions.

  20. Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:

  21. Work closely with cross-functional teams (finance, accounting, operations) to ensure financial analysis aligns with business objectives.

  22. Provide financial guidance and insights to senior management and key stakeholders to influence decision-making.

  23. Ad-hoc Financial Projects:

  24. Lead or participate in special financial projects as needed, providing analytical support for new business initiatives, acquisitions, or product launches.
