Genetic Counselor

We are seeking an experienced Genetic Counselor to provide genetic risk assessment, counseling, and education to patients and families in a diagnostic healthcare setting. The role requires strong knowledge of genetic testing, interpretation of results, and effective patient communication to support informed medical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Risk Assessment: Gather detailed personal and family medical histories to identify potential risks for genetic disorders, birth defects, and other hereditary conditions.
• Information and Education: Explain complex genetic information, hereditary patterns, and the implications of a diagnosis in a clear, sensitive, and understandable way to patients and families.
• Testing Guidance: Advise on the benefits, risks, and limitations of various genetic testing options and help coordinate testing procedures.
• Result Interpretation: Analyze and contextualize genetic test outcomes to provide patients with a comprehensive understanding of their results.
• Counseling and Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to help individuals and families cope with genetic conditions and make informed decisions about their health.
• Resource Connection: Provide referrals to support groups, advocacy services, and other health professionals to help patients manage their conditions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, to develop intervention strategies and care plans.

Pay: ₹25, ₹37,451.28 per month
