The Opportunity You would be responsible for helping the team achieve its objectives by executing tasks such as posting journal entries, payroll verification, compliance and return filings, customer follow-ups, vendor payments, reporting, etc. You would get an opportunity to explore and execute tasks across various functions within the firm.
Responsibilities
  • Take complete responsibility and ownership of the assignments/clients.
  • Delegating work and bringing out the best in those working with you.
  • Ensure assignments are completed promptly and with the required quality.
  • Proactively monitor the various financial, accounting & taxation aspects of the customer, and initiate actions.
  • Continuously conduct reviews & evaluations and provide feedback for improvisation of Zuna's process.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with the clients and take necessary steps to add value to the clients.
  • Proactively improvise on overall knowledge of the firm and self with relevant updations and changes in the law.

Work Timings/Location Zuna's office in Malleshwaram, Bangalore.
Working days would be from Monday - Friday. However, it's flexible hours and you'll be measured on outcomes and effort and not no. of hours.
Requirements You would be a great fit for this role if,
  • You are a graduate or postgraduate with around 1 to 2 years of experience.
  • You have a clear and sound understanding of accounts and taxation.
  • You are comfortable using software such as excel, tally, Zoho books, QuickBooks, etc.
  • You can communicate clearly and present comfortably.
  • You are passionate about constant learning and enjoy challenging problems.
What do your first 6 months / 1 year look like at the company? In the first month, you will
  1. Get to know the team and the various assignments undertaken by the firm.
  2. Learn the various software used such as Excel, Tally, Zoho books, and Quickbooks.
  3. Will be familiarized with the firm's reporting procedures and will start executing tasks such as journal entries, payroll verification, compliances, customer follow-ups, vendor payments, reporting, etc.
After 3 months, you will
  1. Continue to execute tasks such as journal entries, payroll verification, compliances, customer follow-ups, vendor payments, reporting, etc.
  2. Start getting comfortable with the filing of various returns such as GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT, etc.
  3. Have the opportunity to work with new-age tools and software like QuickBooks, Zoho books, Asana, and Notion.
  4. Be encouraged to find a balance between work and play, engaging in sports, board games, outings, or other fun activities with the team.
By 6 months, you will
  1. Have a better understanding of the firm's policies and procedures.
  2. You will also gain exposure to clients across various industries in different stages of growth and gain experience in executing tasks across various functions within the firm.
  3. Have the opportunity to work on more complex assignments, and will be encouraged to learn and grow in your role.
By the end of 1st year, you will
  1. Have gained a deeper understanding of the various assignments undertaken by the firm and will have gained exposure to clients across various industries in different stages of growth.
  2. Have executed tasks across various functions within the firm, and will have had the opportunity to work on more complex assignments.
  3. Have created long-lasting relationships with clients and will have added value to those clients.
  4. Have continued your overall knowledge of the firm and self with relevant updations and changes in the law.
