7) Must be proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation


8) Must have experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch

Mandatory (Company) : Top tier Product-based company (B2B Enterprise SaaS preferred)

Preferred Experience :


1) Experience in multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure scaling.

2) Exposure to AI/ML pipeline deployments or iPaaS / reverse ETL connectors.

About the Role :


We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure that powers our next-generation SaaS platform and AI-driven products. You will play a key part in enabling our engineering organization to deliver software rapidly, reliably, and securely.

This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in cloud computing, automation, and AI infrastructure. The DevOps Engineer will be instrumental in shaping our DevOps culture bridging the gap between development and operations, improving system reliability, and optimizing our deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities :


1. Cloud Infrastructure Design & Management :


- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure across platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Develop infrastructure blueprints that emphasize high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.

- Implement auto-scaling, load balancing, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure continuous service availability.

- Optimize cost and performance by leveraging cloud-native services such as Lambda, EC2, Kubernetes Engine, or Azure AKS.

- Manage networking, storage, and compute resources in alignment with best practices and security guidelines.

2. Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) :


- Build, enhance, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to accelerate the release process while ensuring consistency and reliability.

- Implement testing and validation stages within pipelines to catch errors early and improve deployment quality.

- Integrate tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI to streamline build, test, and release workflows.

- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth and consistent delivery from code commit to production deployment.

3. Containerization & Orchestration :


- Lead the adoption and management of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.

- Develop and maintain Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and deployment templates for microservices.

- Manage and monitor cluster resources, optimize workload distribution, and ensure efficient utilization of compute capacity.

- Automate deployment rollouts, scaling, and service discovery to support fast-moving, agile teams.

4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :


- Champion the use of Infrastructure-as-Code practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

- Create and manage reusable, version-controlled IaC modules using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

- Implement environment consistency across development, staging, and production environments.

- Continuously improve IaC scripts for better modularity, maintainability, and security compliance.

5. Monitoring, Logging, and Observability :


- Set up comprehensive monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure real-time visibility into system health and performance.

- Deploy and manage tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, CloudWatch, and Datadog.

- Define performance indicators, establish dashboards, and set alert thresholds for proactive issue detection.

- Drive observability best practices, ensuring developers can easily debug and trace applications in production.

6. Security and Compliance Automation :


- Implement cloud security automation covering IAM policies, secrets management, SSL/TLS certificates, and data encryption.

- Conduct regular security audits and enforce compliance with security frameworks such as SOC2, ISO 27001, or GDPR (as applicable).

- Automate vulnerability scanning, patch management, and container image hardening.

- Collaborate with the InfoSec team to design secure architectures and enforce least-privilege access models.

7. Collaboration and DevOps Culture :


- Partner closely with software engineering teams to embed DevOps principles throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

- Provide tooling, documentation, and support to enable developers to self-manage deployments and environments.

- Promote automation-first thinking, continuous improvement, and shared ownership of reliability goals.

- Participate in blameless postmortems and drive learning from incidents.

8. Incident Response and Production Reliability :

- Manage production systems, monitor service uptime, and respond quickly to outages or performance degradations.

- Lead or participate in on-call rotations and incident management efforts to restore service and identify root causes.

- Develop runbooks, automated recovery scripts, and self-healing systems to reduce operational burden.


9. Scaling for Multi-Tenant SaaS :


- Support multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure by optimizing database, storage, and networking configurations for large-scale workloads.

- Implement isolation strategies, tenant-aware deployment pipelines, and security boundaries.

- Ensure consistent performance, reliability, and data protection across multiple tenants.

Ideal Candidate Profile :


Experience : 3- 6 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in SaaS or enterprise-scale environments.

- Cloud Expertise : Strong practical knowledge of at least one major cloud platform AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- System Administration : Advanced proficiency in Linux system administration including networking, file systems, and kernel tuning.

- Container & CI/CD Skills : Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

- Automation Proficiency : Strong hands-on skills with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and automation.

- Scripting Languages : Excellent scripting ability in Python and Bash for automation, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.

- Monitoring Tools : Working knowledge of monitoring and logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and CloudWatch.

- Security Mindset : Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, compliance, and network hardening.

Good to Have / Preferred Qualifications :


- Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and distributed systems.

- Exposure to AI/ML pipeline deployments or data infrastructure (MLOps).

- Familiarity with iPaaS platforms, reverse ETL connectors, or data integration tools.

- Prior experience in startup environments or product-led companies, where agility, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration are key.

- Contributions to open-source DevOps projects or certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD, or Terraform Associate are a plus.
