Overview of Role
66degrees is seeking a skilled Senior Python Middleware Developer – AI Agent
Enablement with 5 to 8 years of experience. In this role, you will play a critical part in
designing and implementing high-performance middleware components that connect
front-end applications with backend services, AI/ML models, and databases. You will
work on building scalable microservices, enabling seamless integration with AI agents,
and ensuring optimal performance in enterprise-scale environments.

Responsibilities
● Design and develop middleware services to bridge front-end systems, backend
services, AI/ML models, and data sources.
● Build and manage scalable microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI,
Flask, or Django.
● Develop APIs and orchestration layers to process, transform, and route data
efficiently.
● Integrate AI agents, inference endpoints, and third-party APIs into middleware
pipelines.
● Ensure middleware reliability, low latency, and performance optimization.
● Manage inter-service communication via REST, gRPC, WebSockets, or messaging
systems like Kafka.
● Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and containerized
deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
● Maintain high-quality documentation and coding standards for reusable, scalable
solutions.

Qualifications
● 5–8 years of experience in Python programming with strong middleware and API
development expertise.
● Proficient in FastAPI, Flask, or Django frameworks.
● Hands-on experience in middleware concerns: logging, error handling, request
validation, and security.
● Strong understanding of RESTful architecture, API gateway design, and
authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).
● Experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp) and event-driven
systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
● Hands-on experience with Docker and working knowledge of Kubernetes.
● Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable deployments.
● Knowledge of AI/ML model serving and integration pipelines (preferred).

Nice to Have
● Experience with LLM-based AI agents, LangChain, or vector databases.
● Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
● Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms or workflow engines (e.g., Airflow,
Temporal).
