Industry: Packaged Drinking Water / Bottling Plant / Beverage Manufacturing

Experience: 3–5 Years (Gulf experience preferred) in drinking water production

Location: GCC / India (as required)

Key Responsibilities1. Water Quality Monitoring

  • Conduct routine sampling of raw water, treated water, RO outlet, ozonated water, and final bottled water.
  • Ensure all water parameters meet BIS, WHO, HACCP & local regulatory standards.
  • Perform testing for pH, TDS, turbidity, conductivity, hardness, alkalinity, chlorine levels, microbial load, etc.

2. Production Line Quality Control

  • Inspect and monitor quality at each stage of bottling:
  • Bottle blowing / Preform inspection
  • Washing & Rinsing quality
  • Filling accuracy & capping torque
  • Labeling, coding, sealing, and packaging
  • Ensure hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards are followed consistently.

3. Laboratory Testing & Documentation

  • Perform microbiological tests, including:
  • Total Plate Count (TPC)
  • Total Coliforms
  • E. coli
  • Yeast & Mold
  • Maintain accurate Lab Test Reports, Daily QC Logs, CCP monitoring sheets, and batch records.
  • Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

4. Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with:
  • BIS (IS 14543)
  • Food Safety Standards (FSSAI)
  • WHO Drinking Water Guidelines
  • ISO 22000 / HACCP principles
  • Assist in internal and external audits, including NABL or third-party inspections.

5. Hygiene & Plant Sanitation

  • Monitor and record sanitation of:
  • RO plant
  • Storage tanks
  • Pipelines
  • Filling machines
  • Oversee CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes and ensure disinfection logs are maintained.

6. Process Quality Assurance

  • Evaluate vendor quality for PET preforms, caps, shrink labels, cartons, etc.
  • Ensure proper calibration of lab equipment (pH meter, TDS meter, turbidity meter, etc.).
  • Identify quality deviations and coordinate with production for immediate corrections.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes (RO, UV, Ozone).
  • Understanding of microbiology testing methods.
  • Familiarity with BIS standards, HACCP, GMP & quality protocols.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Diploma holders with strong experience may also apply.
