Job Description

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of professional content writing or editorial experience for higher education content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills with a strong command of academic tone and style.
  • Familiarity with SEO, CMS platforms and digital content tools.
  • Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices in scholarly publishing.
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy).
  • Edit and proofread materials for grammar, clarity, tone, and consistency.
  • Experience in accessibility (alt text writing) and inclusive content practices (WCAG compliance).
  • Knowledge of developing assessment items for multiple formats, including:
  • Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • Constructed-response and open-ended questions
  • Performance-based tasks

  • Quizzes, tests, and end-of-unit assessments

  • Align assessments with relevant standards (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, Bloom's Taxonomy, state/national learning standards).

  • Strong understanding of instructional objectives and learning outcomes.
