Business Analyst / Product Owner – Alternative Investments

Work Location: Hyderabad

Role Summary

· Alternative investment functional analyst
 to work with Product Manager and other stakeholders to identify requirement for Front office System for Fund Managers

· Understands complete lifecycle of Alternative investment fund.

· Master in different process is like onboarding Fund, Investor, Fund Details, subscription documents and support process in terms of servicing investor.

· Conducting research on Front office system in the market and create comparative study and help in building world class platform

· Developing business requirement and functional requirements - recommendations based on market trends in front office and helps investor to perform their activities seamlessly e.g. registration, onboarding, fund subscription.

· Lead product discovery and backlog definition for a complex, data‑driven platform with deep configuration layers and meta‑processing logic.

Key Responsibilities

· The role spans discovery, specification, validation, and change management for investor facing features and related operational handoffs.

· It also focuses on data lineage, reconciliation requirements, and auditability to support compliant and efficient operations.

· Elicit and document business requirements (BRDs), functional specs, and user stories for investor facing journeys and the associated operational handoffs.

· Model end to end processes and data flows across front, middle, and back office, specifying controls, checkpoints, and reconciliation needs.

· Translate regulatory obligations for AIFs into system behaviours, validations, disclosures, and reporting requirements.

· Define roles, permissions, and approval workflows that reflect segregation of duties and compliance guardrails.

· Specify data dictionaries, reference data, and data quality rules; capture lineage and retention to support auditability.

· Partner with engineering on solution design, acceptance criteria, and non functional requirements (availability, performance, observability).

· Coordinate UAT, write test scenarios, define acceptance criteria, manage defects, and sign off releases with impacted functions.

· Maintain a regulatory and operational change backlog, conduct impact assessments, and manage versioned documentation.

· Define MI/analytics needs for adoption, capacity, and risk indicators; ensure dashboards reflect cross functional KPIs.

· Contribute to incident post mortems and continuous improvement, capturing lessons into requirements and controls.

Must‑Have Qualifications

· Senior‑level BA/PO experience in Alternative Investments
 and data‑intensive products.

· Expert in 
story writing
 and 
requirements structure
; comfortable with deep configuration concepts.

· Hands‑on with backlog tools (ADO/Jira), API/contract thinking, and SQL fundamentals (MySQL).

· Strong stakeholder facilitation, crisp documentation and scope control.
