Job Description:
  • Title: Production Manager
  • Place of Work: Moraiya
  • Reporting to : Plant Head

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. To plan weekly, daily  Production Planning  with help of  Plant head. Planning to be done as per priority given.

2. Responsible to fix model wise targets at all operations for all models & ensure targets are met

3. Planning of Tooling, production consumables, Gauges and fixturing. Monthly review along with Plant head and ensuring minimum stock is being maintained.

4. Responsible for or new product development taken up for production of tooling, fixturing & gauges.Onetime delivery as committed to customer with required documents.

5. Daily production machine wise target vs achieved and process rejection monitoring. An explanation to be sent for production shortfall and increased process scrap rate in daily reports, corrective actions and/or preventive actions should be clearly mentioned for shortfalls on account of manpower, machine and material, to be presented in daily production meeting.

6. Daily review of production and rejection with supervisors and prepare corrective actions for major shortfall, major process rejections.

7. Coordinating with planning dept and ensuring  arrival of input on time. Proof drawings to be send to related persons

8.  MIS, OEE & all related QMS documents to be updated on daily basis.

9. Multi-skilling of operators. Existing man power, new manpower  planning and training for future needs. Control of operators absenteeism. OT planning if required.

10. Weekly tool consumption monitoring and analyzing. A monthly  report to be given with exact reasons for increase in tool consumption. Consumables cost to be maintained within target.

11. Responsible for maintaining of 5S in shop floor, Machine cleaning activities, cleanliness of shop floor, crates, pallets, trolleys etc.

12. Responsible for timely replacement of coolant tank with record.

12.Ensuring no pending old lots, reworks if any to be cleared online in shop floor

13.Drawings final, stage wise issue to shop floor

If any machine break down inform to maintenance department and get resolved.

Daily stock to be maintained, month end floor stock report to be submitted



Responsible for hourly inspection in shop floor at all machines.

Shop floor machine wise first & last piece inspection report, tool life report, profile contour, hatch  

angle, roughness reports, operator performance report to be maintained.

Identification & traceability at all areas for all parts

Handling & preservation of instruments, gauges, surface plates.

To establish a new process and freeze it with controlled drawings defining input and output  

tolerances for all operations. Drawings at all operations should be controlled.

Productivity improvement to be done.

Excess stocks not to be produced exports not more than 10% SF & 5% PF.

Responsible for movement of parts/sleeves/liners in crates/pallets only with layer partition.

No spillage of rust preventive oil on shop floor.Responsible to maintain 5S in jigs & fixtures room.

Responsible to arrange all consumables required for machine shop on time.

Responsible for updation & online entry of ERP

     Performance Monitoring Parameters

1. To achieve production achieved against plan on priority basis  98%

2. Process rejection to be maintained within 2.5%

3. Productivity improvement by 5%

4. QMS updation,no major NCs in audits

5. Samples submission on onetime with required documents

6. Manpower training & handling without issues

7. No pending's on shop floor

8. 5S implementation & sustenance.
