Banquet Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies for banquet and event services.
- Identify new business opportunities, including corporate clients, weddings, and social events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize revenue while maintaining client satisfaction.
2. Event Coordination & Management
- Collaborate with operations, catering, and service teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Oversee event planning from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Ensure client requirements are accurately communicated and executed.
- Monitor event budgets and ensure profitability.
3. Marketing & Promotion
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to attract banquet bookings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
- Represent the hotel or venue at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
4. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate client databases and follow-up records.
- Track revenue, bookings, and client feedback for continuous improvement.
5. Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate the banquet sales team to achieve targets.
- Conduct training sessions for team members on sales techniques and customer service.
- Foster a professional, client-focused, and results-driven work environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in banquet/event sales, preferably in hotels, resorts, or large venues.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of event planning, catering operations, and hospitality industry standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and sales software.
