Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Designer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for large-scale MEP and construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry standards to deliver innovative, efficient, and compliant electrical designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including 
    power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and ELV systems
    .
  • Prepare, review, and validate detailed 
    electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts
     using AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and other design tools.
  • Perform and review 
    electrical load calculations, voltage drop studies, fault-level calculations
    , and energy optimization analyses.
  • Ensure designs adhere to 
    NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA
    , and all relevant electrical codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for effective 
    MEP integration
     and 3D model accuracy.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, contractor submittals, and vendor documentation.
  • Oversee project deliverables, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the electrical design team while engaging with clients to address technical requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
     in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 15+ years
     of progressive experience in electrical design for large-scale MEP or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in 
    AutoCAD
    , 
    Revit (BIM)
    , and electrical analysis software.
  • Strong knowledge of 
    power distribution networks, lighting systems, ELV, renewable integration
    , and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Advanced understanding of 
    international and local electrical codes/standards
     (NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA).
  • Proven expertise in 
    electrical load studies, fault analysis, and MEP coordination
    .
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
