Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality integrations and efficient data flows.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Implement API authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, or other industry-standard mechanisms.
  • Optimize API performance and scalability.
  • Develop unit and integration tests for APIs to ensure reliability and stability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality, performance, and security.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Document API design, architecture, and usage for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in API technologies, frameworks, and security standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2–5 years) in API development using , Python, Java, .NET, or Go.
  • Hands-on experience with API frameworks like , Flask, Spring Boot, or ASP.NET Core.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and JSON/XML data formats.
  • Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL – e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, GitHub/GitLab).
  • Awareness of API security, including rate limiting, data encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
