Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our Snowflake data platform. You will play a critical role in building scalable data solutions, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity across our analytics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data warehousing solutions using Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines.
• Lead ETL/ELT processes using tools like Matillion, Airflow, Control-M, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Implement data modelling best practices (star/snowflake schemas, normalization, etc.).
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security using Snowflake's built-in features.
• Monitor and tune Snowflake performance, including warehouse sizing, query optimization, and resource management.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in database and ETL tools like Matillion, Snowflake, Oracle
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Matillion.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modelling.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g. Matillion, Airflow, Informatica).
• Experience with AWS cloud platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Snowflake security features (RBAC, encryption, masking).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python or Scala for data processing.
• Exposure to data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
