SUMMARY

Summary:

As a Snowflake Data Warehouse Application Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade data solutions within a cloud-native environment. You will serve as the primary technical authority and strategic leader for Snowflake-based data warehouse initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, and performance excellence. This role demands deep expertise in Snowflake, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex data challenges. You will be responsible for shaping data architecture, fostering innovation, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data products that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Snowflake Data Warehouse solutions and lead technical strategy.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, guiding technical decisions and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams to define, prioritize, and deliver data requirements.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of data warehouse projects, from design and implementation to monitoring and optimization.
  • Drive problem resolution across teams, providing scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and standardized processes within the team and across departments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining high standards of data quality, security, and performance.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake Data Warehouse, with a proven track record in enterprise implementations.
  • 6 9 years of total professional experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related technical roles.
  • Expertise in cloud-based data architecture, with a strong command of Snowflake's core capabilities (e.g., virtual warehouses, data sharing, security, and performance tuning).
  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced data modeling techniques for large-scale data environments.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and integration with data pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, or AWS Glue.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security models, and compliance standards in cloud data platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (15 years of full-time education required).
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and influencing cross-functional initiatives.
