Position Overview: The position of Estimation Engineer will be based in Gurgaon with prime responsibility making bid /tender estimates of Power EPC business and support tendering team of BESS and metering solutions which will be based in Africa The ideal candidate should have a strong /hands on background in the Power EPC bid estimate preparation, filling various tender formats etc. Of Government/funded tenders specially for substations and T&D system with computer operation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tender selection and Bidding Strategy:

  • Support tendering manager in

(i) Review bidding pursuits collected by BD and marketing team and providing the guidance/support to get favorable specifications

(ii) (ii) Support BD/Marketing team in clients meetings and presentations on SkipperSEIL solutions scanning the tender notification MIS and identifying relevant bids for bidding

(iii) Analyzing the tender for qualification compliance

  • Preparing Tender review records and discussions with stakeholders on proposing risk assessment/bidding strategy
  • Support tendering manager in preparation of bid Approvals documents for getting management approvals

2. Bid Preparation and Submission

  • Preparing Pre bid queries, interaction with client/BD/Marketing team and getting favorable decisions
  • Coordinate with Tendering manager in preparation of bid submission plans to ensure timely bid submission
  • Coordination with Finance/SCM/design/Site etc. on timely documentation completion and getting best quotes from vendors
  • Prepare/ Validate bid estimations/risks/ site estimations etc.
  • Knowledge on understanding and analysis tender drawings i.e. SLD/P & ID / GTP/civil drawings etc.

3. Post Bid follow up

  • Support the team and attend all post bid queries and follow up with BD/Marketing during bid process status
  • Prepare contract agreement/ project handing over document for a winning bid
  • Prepare Bid loss analysis for lost bids

4. Team Management:

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.

5. Customer and Stakeholder Relations:

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, local authorities and stakeholders through personal meeting and meaningful communications
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery of products and exceptional service.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise in the course of project execution
  • Position Company as most preferred supplier by customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferred). Additional qualifications in the field of Bid management will be preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the power EPC tendering and bidding area for making turnkey/EPC /BOOT tenders especially in substations/T&D and solar projects
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms/government & international funding agencies bidding process
  • Good knowledge on relevant market and market players
