Key Responsibilities:
  • Involved in new vendor development to ensure a reliable and competitive supply base.
  • Conduct purchasing of imported and domestic raw materials in line with company requirements.
  • Draft and review purchase contracts to ensure clarity on delivery terms, quality standards, quantity, and cost.
  • Negotiate prices and obtain quotations from suppliers to achieve cost optimization and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials through consistent follow-ups with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders to track and manage import shipments.
  • Implement and monitor inventory management practices to minimize wastage and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Manage daily planning and procurement of consumable and raw materials as per production requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts team to process vendor payments and resolve invoice-related queries.
  • Generate purchase orders (POs) in SAP based on approved material requisitions and ensure system accuracy.
Key Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation and procedures.
  • Experience in working with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
