IAM IGA Engineering Manager

Role Overview:

Lead and manage the design, implementation, and optimization of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) processes, focusing on user lifecycle management (JML), access certifications, and RBAC. Ensure compliance with security regulations, drive automation, and provide leadership in delivering seamless integration and governance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate JML workflows integrated with HRIS (Dayforce/Workday/SAP) to streamline user onboarding, offboarding, and role changes, ensuring seamless access provisioning across systems.
• Design and implement RBAC and birthright access models for critical applications, ensuring that the principle of least privilege is followed.
• Develop, configure, and maintain connectors (e.g., REST APIs, SCIM) to support provisioning for non-standard or custom applications, ensuring smooth integration with various enterprise platforms.
• Conduct access reviews (User Access Reviews - UAR) and implement Segregation of Duties (SoD) policies for sensitive applications like ERP systems, enforcing compliance with internal controls.
•  Implement API-based integrations with enterprise systems, including HRIS, ERP, and cloud platforms, ensuring seamless identity and access management across diverse environments.
• Partner closely with HR, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regional regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards, particularly for leaver workflows and regulatory audits.
• Lead RFPs for IGA tools and Privileged Access Management solutions , managing the vendor selection process and ensuring successful tool implementation.
• Maintain comprehensive audit trails for compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA) and ensure the enforcement of least privilege for Tier-0 and sensitive roles.
• Monitor and enforce identity governance controls to maintain strong security across systems and applications during tenant migrations and beyond.
• Continuously review and optimize IGA processes, ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), with hands-on expertise in tools like SailPoint IdentityIQ, Saviynt, and PAM solutions
• Strong background in managing user lifecycle management processes, access certifications, and RBAC models across enterprise systems.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR) and how they apply to identity governance.
• Experience with role mining, risk-based access controls, and access reviews (UAR).

Certifications:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certification.
• SailPoint Certified Architect or similar IGA-related certification is highly desirable.

Leadership and Communication:

• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and business goals.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, able to lead complex IAM initiatives and work cross-functionally to meet business needs.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with AI-driven access analytics to enhance decision-making and improve access governance.
• Familiarity with SailPoint IIQ, CyberArk or other IGA or PAM solutions for managing identity and privileged access in high-risk environments.
