Maintenance Supervisor: Plastic Moulding

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and oversee all maintenance activities within a plastic injection molding/manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum machine uptime, safe operations, and optimal performance of molding machines, utilities, auxiliaries, and plant equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor will manage a team of technicians, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and direct maintenance technicians across all shifts.
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for injection molding machines, molds, robots, chillers, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate mold changes, mold maintenance, and tool room activities in collaboration with Production.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability of required consumables.
• Implement and improve maintenance systems and documentation (PM checklists, equipment history, downtime logs, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and machinery safety practices.
• Work with OEMs and vendors for equipment upgrades, repairs, and technical support.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for cycle time, energy efficiency, and equipment reliability.
• Monitor key KPIs such as downtime %, MTTR, and PM schedule compliance.
• Participate in annual budgeting for maintenance expenditures and capital projects.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in plastic injection molding or related manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Hands-on knowledge of:
• Injection molding machines (e.g., Haitian, Engel, Nissei, Arburg, Husky, etc.)
• Hydraulic & servo systems
• Mold and hot runner systems
• Utilities (compressors, chillers, cooling towers, dryers, material handling)
• PLC troubleshooting (Siemens/Allen-Bradley — preferred)

Pay: ₹20, ₹30,000.00 per month
