Role Description

The BBS Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate bar bending schedules from structural drawings, ensuring reinforcement details comply with design requirements. The role involves coordinating with site and design teams to optimize steel usage and minimize wastage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed bar bending schedules (BBS) from structural and architectural drawings.
  • Coordinate with structural engineers and site teams for reinforcement requirements.
  • Verify rebar cutting lengths, lap lengths, and bending details as per codes.
  • Ensure steel quantity accuracy and monitor usage at site.
  • Support billing and estimation teams with reinforcement quantities.
  • Maintain records of daily steel consumption and bar placement reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering

Applications from other domains will not be considered.

Experience

Minimum 2–8 years in BBS preparation and reinforcement detailing (construction/infrastructure projects preferred)
