Job Summary

The Content Creator Trainee will support the Content and Marketing teams in producing engaging and relevant digital content across various platforms. This role is a hands-on learning opportunity for an individual with a strong foundation in writing, a keen eye for visual media, and a passion for digital trends. The trainee will be mentored to develop skills in content strategy, Shoot, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Production & Drafting:

  • Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading various content formats, social media Calendar

  • Support the creation of basic visual content (e.g., simple graphics, image sourcing) using tools like Canva, Photoshop
  • Help with gathering and organizing assets for content projects (e.g., images, video clips, data points).

  • Must be camera friendly and should have shooting skills and must have a camera.

  • Research & Learning:

  • Conduct research on industry-related topics, current trends, and target audience interests.

  • Stay updated on social media platform best practices and emerging content formats (e.g., short-form video trends).

  • Content Management & Scheduling:

  • Assist in maintaining the content calendar and scheduling posts across social media channels and the company website (CMS).

  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand voice, style guidelines, and legal requirements (e.g., copyright).

  • Performance Monitoring & Team Support:

  • Support the team by collecting and compiling basic content performance metrics (e.g., social media engagement, website traffic).

  • Participate in team meetings, content brainstorming sessions, and contribute fresh, creative ideas.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members in Marketing, Design, and other departments.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, film making or a related field (or currently pursuing a relevant degree/recent graduate).

Writing Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent grammar and a keen attention to detail.

Digital Familiarity: Basic understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) and how to create platform-specific content.

Technical Aptitude (Preferred but not essential):

  • Familiarity with a Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress.
  • Basic skills in a graphic design tool (e.g., Canva) or photo/video editing software.

  • Soft Skills:

  • A proactive and eager attitude with a strong willingness to learn and accept feedback.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative mindset and strong storytelling ability.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • A portfolio of personal or academic content creation work (e.g., a personal blog, social media page, university project).
