Job Summary:

The Commis III in the Continental Section is responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of continental dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. This is an entry-level position suitable for someone with basic culinary training and a passion for Western/European cuisine. The role emphasizes learning, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting kitchen operations smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of continental dishes (e.g., pasta, grilled meats, salads, sauces, soups, etc.).

  • Follow recipes and instructions given by Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie.

  • Ensure all mise-en-place (food prep) is done before service.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.

  • Store food products properly and monitor stock levels.

  • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.

  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards as per HACCP or hotel policies.

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Help in cleaning kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment after use.

  • Cooperate with other team members and contribute to a positive working environment.
